The Samajam is a health sanatorium. Its main treatment center, on the banks of the river Bharathappuzha in Shoranur, attracts a lot of people from different parts of India and abroad. Independent hut like traditional cottages and modern rooms are available here to accommodate patients. Generally, admission is confirmed well in advance for a comfortable and hassle-free stay. Most of the cottages and buildings were the poutcome of the Philanthropic gesture of the rich and the mighty of the yester-years.

Reservation should be made in advance for accommodation in Samajam Hospital. Cottages of various sizes are available and are designed to suit the needs of the family. It includes a separate treatment room,kitchen,toilet,bathrooms etc. The patients can either cook for themselves in their cottages or can have food from hospital canteen. In special cases, the food items can also be arranged by the hospital authorities on request in advance

The ward booking deposit is INR 2,000. A deposit of INR 25,000 per patient is to be made at the time of admission and will be later adjusted to the final bill. The charges for the cottages vary from INR 850 to INR 4,000 per day based on the facilities provided under the deluxe, semi - luxury and luxury categories. Bills on the treatments are to be settled at the end of every week

Fresh medicated decoctions are prepared in the pharmacy kitchen and supplied in the ward for in patients and are devoid of preservatives.
