Keraleeya Ayurveda Samajam continues the same system of Ayurveda treatment instituted 115 years ago, by Samajam’s great vaidyas.
Medicine preparation is based on the knowledge and professional experience of Ayurveda Scholars of Keraleeya Ayurveda Samajam.
Samajam always promotes the use of classical Ayurvedic medicines. Samajam is not into manufacturing any patented medicines.
Samajam always give importance to Ayurvedic treatment without any adulteration, pollution and other unnecessary impedances that can reduce the effect of Ayurvedic treatment.
Another innovation to Samajam’s credit was the “Sequential development and application of Ayurvedic therapies on diseases ". Around 8 - 9 decades ago, the Samajam introduced the systematized practices of Panchakarma and specialized Kerala therapies. It explains the application of a set of therapies in a logical sequence as opposed to the haphazard introduction of some or the other therapy on the patient, while treating diseases of different origin and of different caliber. It also tells about the control over pressure, time, speed, heat and direction of a therapy while it is executed. Many in later years adopted this “Samajam Sampradayam “(The methodology of Samajam). Well trained male and female therapists carry out the treatments under the close supervision of expert doctors. The time tested Panchakarma therapy of ayurveda( Vamana , Virechana , Vasthi , Nasya &Rakthamoksha ) is a major mode of treatment in the Samajam Hospital. Dhara, Pizhichil, Navarakizhi, ChavittiUzhichil, and Marmachikitsa are effectively practised in the hospital. There is a steady flow of in - patients and out patients for these treatments.
From the beginning itself, apart from the daily consultation, a special panel was constituted by the most eminent doctors from multiple stream of medicines to provide most appropriate treatments to the patients. Even now this special panel consultation is functioning on the first Tuesday and third Saturday of every month and focuses mainly on Diabetes, Neurological disorders, Fertility etc. Many patients from far and near visit the panel for an expert advice for their ailments
